Caladiums can be tricky to overwinter and success isn’t guaranteed, but the most reliable method is to leave it potted or transfer to a small pot during autumn and allow the soil to become dry. Keep indoors in a cool room (between 10-18C). The leaves will naturally die back for winter and the soil should be kept dry during this time with only a very light and occasional watering. From around mid February/March the pot can be moved into a warmer position and the bulb should start to grow back within 1-3 months. Providing the bulb remains firm, it is still viable
