What happens if you plant bulbs at the wrong time?Updated 21 days ago
Bulbs will deteriorate and lose their viability if they are stored for too long, they usually won’t grow once they have lost their freshness and will rot in the soil after planting. Summer bulbs should ideally be planted between late February and late May, but can be planted a little later if necessary. Bulbs which are planted late may not perform as expected in the first season, but will usually recover and produce better results from the second year.
