What do you do if some of the dahlia tubers are broken?Updated 14 days ago

Dahlias often have some broken tubers, they will still grow providing there is at least one good-sized tuber firmly intact. Partially broken tubers do not need to be removed - often they are attached enough to still support the plant, or the partially detached tuber may produce a bud of its own. If the partially detached tuber does rot away after planting, this will not spread to the rest of the tuber or cause any infection. If you have a concern about their condition, please send a photo of the entire dahlia tuber to our customer care team using our webform, we will advise on its viability and arrange replacements where needed.
