Is it too late to plant summer bulbs in June?Updated 10 days ago

Summer flowering bulbs ideally be planted between late February and late May, but you can plant them in June if this is when they have been supplied to you. Unplanted bulbs and bare roots will deteriorate over time and will not survive being stored until the next growing season.

Summer bulbs and plants supplied earlier in the season are unlikely to remain fresh if stored until late May/June, and plants supplied later in the season (May/June) should be planted straight away. Bear in mind that late-planted bulbs and plants may not have time to develop as much as expected in the first year.
