How should I store dahlia tubers if I can’t plant them straight away?Updated 9 days ago

Dahlias are freshest and most viable when supplied and it is recommended to pot them up within a few weeks of delivery for best results, and to give them as much time as possible to develop. If you cannot plant them soon after delivery, unpack the dahlias from the box and open the packets. They can temporarily be stored in cool, dry and airy conditions with their packets left open until around early May. Avoid storing in warm or damp conditions, or packed tightly inside the parcel - they will remain fresher for longer if air can circulate the tubers. Dahlias can't be stored until the following year.
