How long does it take for bulbs to grow after planting?Updated 20 days ago
Summer bulbs come out of dormancy at different rates according to their natural growth cycle, temperatures and planting time. Bulbs planted later in spring may start growing much quicker than those which are planted in early spring while still completely dormant. Some varieties naturally wait until early summer before they start to grow. Details of what to expect from each plant can be found in our planting and care guide. Bare root perennials are usually supplied with some shoots or buds and you should see them begin to produce leaves within a few weeks.
