How can I get my dahlias to flower earlier?Updated 14 days ago
The only way to bring Dahlias into flower sooner is to plant them earlier in the season. To encourage speedy development, start them off in pots in a heated greenhouse in late February/ early March. They will reach maturity earlier in the summer and therefore start to bloom sooner. Once they begin to bloom remember to deadhead them regularly so that they continue flowering, and feed fortnightly with a high-potassium feed for optimum flowering.
