Do Peonies take years to bloom?Updated 20 days ago
Typically, Peonies take between 1-3 years to start flowering, depending on the growing conditions, planting time and planting depth. Providing the root is planted shallowly with the buds level with the soil surface, in good soil and a sunny position, our range of Peonies typically bloom in the second year. If your Peony bare root is planted in autumn or early spring, occasionally they bloom in their first year. If you relocate a Peony, it will usually take a year to settle in again before it will flower.
