Do I need to soak my bare root plants before planting them?Updated 20 days ago
Soaking bare root perennials in water will rehydrate the plant prior to planting. It isn't essential but placing the roots in a bowl or bucket of water is recommended if you can't plant your bare roots within a couple of days of receiving them. If you are planting within 1-2 days of delivery, you can skip soaking in water and just water thoroughly straight after they have been potted.
