Can summer bulbs be grown in pots?Updated 13 days ago
Most summer bulbs grow very well in pots. When choosing your pot size, check the height, spread and planting depth of the variety you’re planting in the plant specs on the product page. For any variety, allow at least 15cm of compost beneath the bulb planting depth for the roots to grow. The estimated spread of a variety should give you an idea of planting distance and how much space they’ll need. For a full container display, plant the bulbs slightly closer together than the estimated spread. Always use fresh compost when planting in pots and water regularly during the growing season.
