Are summer bulbs perennial?Updated 8 days ago

Most summer bulbs are perennial, but many like dahlias, cannas and callas are not hardy. This means that they will only grow back next year if the bulb or tuber is stored in frost free conditions for winter. Bare root perennials will grow back every year and most are fully hardy, which means they can be left in situ outdoors over winter.
