Are bare root perennials reliable?Updated 20 days ago
Bare root perennials are reliable and easy to grow, providing they are started in the correct conditions. We ship bare roots shortly after harvesting at the ideal time for planting. They should not be stored after delivery and should be planted as soon as possible while fresh and viable. We recommend that all bare roots are planted within a few days of delivery in order to avoid any deterioration. To give bare root perennials the more reliable start, we recommend they are planted into pots of compost and grown on until more established, at which time they are ready to be transplanted into your border.
