Is it too late to plant?Updated 8 months ago
The ideal planting window for spring-flowering bulbs and bare roots is between September and late December. The planting time for summer-flowering bulbs and bare roots is between late Feburary and early June. All bulbs and plants will naturally start to deteriorate if stored for too long and we recommend that they are planted as soon as possible after delivery, providing the planting/weather conditions are favourable.
If you haven’t planted within the ideal planting window, you should plant them late providing they still appear healthy. When planted very late, they may only flower lightly or produce a foliage-only display in their first year. They will not store and remain viable until the following year.
